Yolanda (Mom)

Yolanda is a literacy teacher who resides in Boulder, CO. Her daughter, Elliana, is the most technical dancer on the mini team. Yolanda has a knack at making the other moms angry, as her arrogance rubs the moms the wrong way when she brags that none of these girls stand a chance against her daughter. With absolute expectations of Elliana being the next Maddie, Yolanda is in for a rude awakening when she is reminded that Maddie wouldn’t reach the level she is at if she didn’t have the healthy competition against her teammate Chloe. Yolanda needs to set her arrogance aside and come to terms with one of the other mini dancers potentially being the “Chloe” to her “Maddie.”

Elliana (Junior Elite)

Elliana’s mom fights constantly for her to have Abby’s attention, so the pressure is on to live up to all of her mom’s hype. When the new dancer Lilliana joins the team, Elliana faces her biggest competitor yet and rivals her head to head. Do they become the next “Maddie vs. Chloe?”

What’s your favorite style of dance to perform?

My favorite dance style is ballet because it is the foundation of all dance and it inspires me to do better watching all of the ballet pieces and dancers.

What’s your favorite style of dance to watch?

My favorite style of dance to watch is musical theatre because I love watching all the people tell my stories in dance, which is one of my favorite things. Also it can be any emotion like happy, sad, angry, scared. And many other things.

What’s your favorite thing about dance?

My favorite thing about dance is I sometimes have really bad days – like all the time – so I like to use dance as my escape from those things and take my mind off of that with doing something I love.

What other hobbies do you participate in?

Other things I do is tumbling, riding my hover board, stretching, eating popsicles, and doing old dance moms dances. Because all of those things are a part of me and I enjoy them every time I do them!

Who is your dancer role model?

My dancer role model is Avery Gay because even when she doesn’t succeed she goes back and works on it until she gets it right! There are more amazing things about her but she is one of my favorite dancers!

Do you have a signature move?

My signature move is my needle!
